Who are we?
The Happy Dog Haven is the brainchild of Rachael O’Regan. Born and bred in Southport, she is also the CEO of an international dog rescue and a dog behaviour specialist.
Rachael spotted that there was nowhere locally for dogs and cats to stay, socialise and exercise when their owners were at work, on holiday or just for fun. She was also told by owners that they wanted somewhere their dog could play and be groomed whilst they were there. Dog owners told her they wanted a place their pooches were already comfortable for dog and puppy training. Finally, they told her that they wanted somewhere in Southport which was easy to get to - including by public transport.
And so The Happy Dog Haven was born!

Love your dog?
Make your dog happy - don’t leave them miserable and alone at home.
For the cost of less than two dog walks you can leave your precious pooches in our indoor and outdoor purpose-built daycare facility safe in the knowledge that they will have constant company and come home in the evening happy, exercised and ready for cuddles!
Your dog doesn’t like other dogs? No problem! They can chill out in one of our spacious bedrooms, relaxing to classical music, safe in the knowledge that a private walk is just around the corner. If you would like to improve your dogs sociability with other dogs then we can also assist.
You can’t get to us? No problem! We offer pickup and drop offs. Just ask us for prices.
Going away on a trip? Our purpose built boarding facilities pipe white noise and classical music into the boarding rooms overnight ensuring the dogs are relaxed and refreshed and ready for another day of playing when they awaken!
Our grooming team can also wash and groom your four legged friend during the day when required - meaning your weekends can be spent doing what you want to do instead of waiting for your fluffy friend to return from his grooming session.
Looking for more training for your dog? We will be running puppy and adult dog training sessions during the weekend at our training academy. Watch this space. Rescue dogs welcome!

Our cat hotel is totally separate from our dog areas, tucked away at the back of the facility.
With soundproof, multi-level bedrooms with plenty of climbing and play equipment they won’t want to leave! We offer both daycare and boarding for cats.
